Whitney Humphrey, RN, received the DAISY Award at UAB St. Vincent’s Birmingham for going above and beyond in the Emergency Department.

UAB St. Vincent’s Birmingham labor and delivery nurse Susie Hooks always knew she had a heart for mothers and newborns. Recently retired after 46 years of helping deliver thousands of babies, she leaves behind a profound legacy of care.

UAB Nursing alumna Abby Judson, BSN, RN, graduated in 2025 and began her nursing career at UAB St. Vincent’s, following in the footsteps of her mother, nursing informatics professor Tonya Judson, DNP, RN.

Angela Boyd, RN, received the DAISY Award at UAB St. Vincent’s East for delivering compassionate, patient-centered nursing care.
