UAB St. Vincent’s St. Clair was recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the top-recommended hospitals in Alabama, earning a five-star rating based on data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
The report highlights hospitals that patients say they would recommend to friends and family. The ratings are based on Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey data collected from hospital patients in 2024 and released by CMS in 2025.
“This recognition reflects the commitment of our physicians, nurses, and staff who provide compassionate, high-quality care to every patient,” said UAB St. Vincent’s St. Clair Administrator Lisa Nichols. “Knowing that our patients would recommend UAB St. Vincent’s St. Clair to their family and friends is one of the most meaningful measures of the work we do every day.”
UAB St. Vincent’s St. Clair was one of only a few hospitals in Alabama to earn this highest possible rating for patient recommendations, which reflects strong performance in the areas of patient experience, communication, and overall satisfaction with care.
As a trusted community hospital, UAB St. Vincent’s St. Clair continues to focus on delivering safe, high-quality care close to home. This Becker’s recognition underscores the hospital’s ongoing efforts to listen to patients, improve the care experience, and support the health needs of individuals and families throughout St. Clair County and surrounding communities.
