UAB St. Vincent’s Blount’s Senior Life Solutions was named the 2025 Expansion Program of the Year by Psychiatric Medical Care, which manages the program.
Psychiatric Medical Care (PMC) partners with more than 250 hospitals and health systems across the country to provide behavioral health care services. Top-performing employees and Senior Life Solutions programs are recognized annually based on their excellence in demonstrating PMC’s values of care, compliance, and community. Award recipients were chosen for providing outstanding patient care, excellent comprehension and execution of compliance regulations, and strong community engagement.
“This award reflects the incredible team behind Senior Life Solutions,” said Alethea Light, director of Outpatient Services at UAB St. Vincent’s Blount. “With the clinical guidance of our program nurse, Stacy James, the team shows up every day with compassion, integrity, and a deep commitment to doing what’s right for our patients and our community. Their dedication to exceptional care, thoughtful compliance, and genuine engagement with those we serve made this recognition possible. I’m incredibly proud of this team and the difference they make in the lives of our patients and families.”
UAB St. Vincent’s Blount’s Senior Life Solutions program supports the unique needs of patients – most of whom are age 65 and older – who are experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief, and other mental health challenges sometimes associated with aging. The program staff includes a board-certified psychiatrist, two licensed therapists, a registered program nurse, and other trained professionals who help ensure that each patient receives the best possible care.
