Teresa Lund, MSN, RN, CNL, CCRN stands holding her DAISY Award and a bouquet of daisy flowers.

The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurse Educators – The Nurse Educator Award was created to honor every nurse educator for their inspirational influence on the Nurses of today and tomorrow- across the education continuum in academic and practice settings.

Congratulations to Teresa Lund, RN for receiving the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurse Educators.

Nominators have stated, “Teresa is a wonderful educator. She is available to help anyone who is in need and proactively looks for opportunities to support staff. If she is asked a question and does not know the answer, she will not stop searching until she gets an answer and then she ensures to follow up with the person who asked. She is willing to go into patient’s rooms and help with procedures or skills that associates are not as familiar with, and she constantly looks for new ways to engage with staff. Teresa does a wonderful job, and we are grateful to have her on our team.

I have been impressed with the level of dedication that Teresa possesses. She takes the initiative to go to codes to observe and see what education our staff may need. She knows the high-risk type patients and rounds on them to ensure staff understand all aspects of care. Yes, education is her job, but she takes it so seriously. It is an inspiration to myself and others.”

The DAISY Award recognizes the extraordinary care and compassion that nurses provide for patients and families every day.
