St. Vincent’s East Family Medicine Residency

The Family Medicine Residency clinic at UAB Medicine St. Vincent’s East provides health screenings and care for everyday illness and injuries.

Our clinic, in partnership with Christ Health, provides a special training experience for medical residents who want to make a difference in health care while working in a compassionate environment. We welcome eight interns to this program each year, and we’ve helped train more than 170 physicians over the past 40-plus years.

Our graduates practice in a wide variety of clinical settings, including rural and urban, solo and group, inpatient and outpatient, academic and community-based. We are dedicated to serving the whole patient while enriching the whole resident.
