SUMMARY:UAB St. Vincent's East Bariatric Surgery Pre Operative 1:1 Dietitian Insurance Evaluation (By Appointment Only)
DESCRIPTION:Our Bariatric Surgery Pre-Operative 1:1 Dietitian Insurance Evaluation is a required\, individualized nutrition assessment for patients whose insurance plans mandate a one-on-one dietitian visit in addition to completion of a bariatric group nutrition class. This appointment evaluates dietary history\, prior weight management efforts\, readiness for lifestyle change\, and pre-operative nutrition knowledge\, with documentation provided to support medical necessity and surgical clearance.  \nAppointments are by referral and scheduled by bariatric program staff only. Patient self-registration is not permitted. \nAppointments are   in length and can be completed virtually via ZOOM or in person in the UAB St. Vincent’s East Bariatric Center.
