Breastfeeding Success Starts Here!

This engaging VIRTUAL class is designed to help you begin your breastfeeding journey with knowledge, confidence and support.

Topics include:

• The many benefits of breastfeeding for both mom and baby
• Practical techniques for getting started in the early weeks
• How to achieve a comfortable, effective latch
• Positioning techniques for success
• Tips for maintaining breastfeeding when returning to work

This class provides evidence-based education in an encouraging environment where your questions are always welcome!  One support person is strongly encouraged to attend so they can learn how to best support you along the way.  For the greatest benefit, we recommend taking this class about 30 days before your due date.

Designed for expectant parents enrolled in the Moms2Be Program who have Medicaid or BCBS All Babies coverage, delivering at UAB St.Vincent’s Hospital.  Upon completion of this class, you’ll earn an electric Breast Pump to help you have a successful breastfeeding experience.
